Polarity Therapy

"It's all about balance"

What is Polarity Therapy?

Polarity is the science and art of natural healthcare, a system of bringing the body back into balance with integrated touch therapies. The techniques of the polarity practice is founded on the teachings of Dr. Randolph Stone.

Polarity restores harmony through complementary therapeutic methods including body techniques, guidance in Polarity exercise and Polarity stretches, self help techniques and Energy balancing.

What to expect in a typical Polarity Therapy session?

In a typical session, the practitioner assesses energetic attributes using palpation, observation and interview methods. Sessions usually take 60-90 minutes, do not require disrobing, and involve soft touch, some rocking as well as point specific energetic touch. Contact may be light, medium or firm. In the session, the practitioner supports the client in increasing self-awareness of subtle energetic sensations, which are often experienced as tingling, warmth, expansion or wavelike movement. The results of Polarity Therapy sessions vary, and may include profound relaxation, an understanding of energetic patterns and their implications, and relief from numerous specific problematic situations such as hypertension, anxiety attacks and breathing disorders.

Polarity Therapy helps to bring balance into body, mind and spirit

In the Polarity model health is experienced when energy systems function in their natural state, and energy flows smoothly without significant blockage or fixation. But pain and disease arise when energy is unbalanced, blocked or fixed due to stress or other factors.

Emotional balance is the ability to feel all emotions appropriately according to an old Chinese medical principle. Blocked emotions means emotions are out of balance.
When you feel challenged and stressed out, you can get fixed in one emotional state, the result of which can be fatigue, pain, depression, and lack of self-esteem.

Your emotional imbalance weakens your physical body: for example
-anger weakens the liver and gallbladder
-grief weakens the lung and large intestine
-worry weakens the stomach and spleen
-joy weakens the heart, pericardium and small intestine and brain
-fear weakens the kidney and bladder.
